Children’s dentistry in Mandurah
Mandurah North Dental provides dental care for infants, children and teenagers. Our general dentists tailor appointments to each child’s age, oral health, comfort and individual needs.
When should children see a dentist?
The Australian Dental Association recommends a first dental visit by age one, or when the first tooth appears. Early visits allow a dentist to monitor development, answer parents’ questions and discuss preventive care.
What an appointment may include
Dental check-ups and gentle cleaning when appropriate; fluoride treatment and fissure sealants when clinically indicated; X-rays when needed; advice about brushing, flossing and diet; and assessment of tooth decay, crowding, teething concerns or dental injuries.
Care based on individual assessment
We explain findings and available options to parents or carers and involve them in decisions. Recommendations, benefits, risks and alternatives depend on the child’s examination and circumstances.
